The Lotus 49

Made entirely by hand in 1:10 scale, this highly detailed representation of Lotus 49 R2 was completed as it appeared in it's inaugural win with the Cosworth DFV engine in 1967. The chassis, wheels, driver and engine block are shaped from solid resin castings. All suspension components are nickel plated bronze castings, fastened with brass hardware. Some of the engine and transmission components are fabricated of mild steel, brass or aluminum. The paint finish is acrylic lacquer, and the car is permanently mounted to a solid resin plinth and base, and revolves on a ball bearing turntable.   22" x 13" x 7".   Total weight, 20 lbs.
